Does anyone fear failure?
I personally believe that most people are not afraid to fail
anymore. Possibly when you were younger
and you had bad thoughts if you failed at something then your parents would not
be happy with you, but that changed. I
know with myself when I was young I believed if I did not do my homework that
my parents would kill me. Not literally though,
they were not that mean, but I knew my mother and father were very strict about
me doing my homework. Every day at
school I would hand in my homework and never did I think about what if I did
not hand something in. One day in eighth
grade I was coming down to the wire on this physics project and I decided not
to do it. For once I did not hand it in
and I failed the project. I realized
that it did not affect my grade to bad so I thought that it wasn’t bad to not
do it. That was when I first failed
doing my homework, and ever since that day I have been on and off with
homework. I have learned to cope with
failure in life and I am not alone. Lots
of people are used to failing. In the
book Mindset they talk about failing
and when your child fails what advice should you give to her. I was happy to read the gymnastics tournament
did not hand everyone a ribbon because it seems that today; everyone gets a
medal for showing up. Effortless won
ribbons and prizes. Out of the five
options the one that you would never have the guts to tell your kid was the one
you truthfully need to tell them.
Everyone needs to know that you will fail in life, but it’s the want to
not fail which makes you stand out.
